Showbie App Reviews

Showbie is one of my favorite teacher tools which helps not only me, but students as they try to utilize their phones not only for entertainment, but for learning and education. My students are encouraged to use their phones as educational tools and they voted Showbie as the #1 app of their choice. They find Showbie easy to navigate and complete assignments and beg me for more "paperless" assignments all of the time. I, too, am finding Showbie to be one of my top three teacher tools that enhances my teaching and helps me and my students become better at utilizing our mobile devices for the classroom. Thank you.

I have tried multiple ways to go paperless in a classroom but this is by far the easiest and most efficient way I have seen. Coming in a building where they use this application, I can see why they choose it, its quick and easy to become well versed and proficient with the application. Not to mention the support staff is always their to answer a question when you have it. Amazing application, I would recommend it for any and everyone.

iPad has been a powerful tool for taking in and producing information for my kiddos. Showbie has helped me close the loop on my paperless classroom by allowing my kids to submit work created on iPad to a central place that I can now access from my 1 iPad (instead of pecking around in each little iPad or dealing with a stampede of airdropped files). The added bonus is that when I post, grade, and leave comments on their assignments, parents can see if from home! I wish the app supported Pages/Word uploads so that I could work with students via Tracked Changes. Maybe in the future. Also, making sign in easier for multiple users would be so clutch! (Ahem, useful).

I have been trying to find apps that will make my classroom more and more technology literate. We have had eBooks for the last 4 years and I have been trying to encourage my students (7th - 11th grade) to do more and more of their work with technology. ShowBie is perfect because my students can work on their math together on an iPad and then submit for grading (which can be easily done on the app). They are beginning to submit homework through ShowBie as well, and we are having so much fun figuring out all the different things for which we can use ShowBie. I am so excited to get my fellow teachers on board with this app. It has such potential for school wide use.

Very easy to use and the kids love it. Showbie keeps them engaged and helps them retain info with the hands on learning.

Along with Notability, this is the best education app ever! Ive been trying to create something like this using Google Drive and a Chrome add-on. This is simple, elegant, and it just plain works. I cant say enough about it. I liked it so much I went Pro. Small price to pay for an app that allows me to have a truly paperless classroom.If you use iPads and want a simple way to grade students work while using your time effectively, this is your app! I decided not to download last year because the name seemed childish, boy was I wrong.

The good: great for a paperless classroom, when it works properly. The bad: must pay for the year subscription to get all the good features. Can be hard to keep track of assignments, especially when using for multiple classes/students. Becomes frustrating when in the middle of grading errors out, saying "cannot connect to the Showbie server." This happens too frequently to not be frustrating.

This app is easy enough to use with 1st graders. My students can easily finish exit slips, tests and practice pages. I am able to grade these anywhere that I have my iPad. Love it and so do my students!

A great workflow app that helps transition towards a paperless classroom. Allows teachers to post assignments and resources, which students can then edit in Showbie or other apps. I love that Showbie let students edits and turn in PDF documents right within the app. The new greeting features allow the teacher to quickly check the same page Im PDFs for each student in the class and give valuable feedback.

Teaching Social Studies in a 1:1 iPad district and having ditched textbooks long ago, I searched for something that let me easily give feedback to students as they analyzed primary and secondary sources. Other teachers suggested email assignments, but it drove me crazy to have my email full all the time (even while using filters to send those assignments to folders…). I used a variety of LMS’s, and eventually stumbled upon Showbie. For the past 2 years, Showbie has been a go-to for grading writing, map analysis, etc. It allows me to give immediate feedback in written form as well as voice notes! I cannot recommend this enough.

I work in a district where each middle school student is given an iPad. This app is perfect for my band and orchestra classes. Students are able to submit their goals and send recordings to me and receive feedback much quicker. I would give 5 stars if it didnt crash at home for students. - this may be a district problem though. Overall, a great app that helps me feel more connected to my students.

Teachers! If youre using iPads in the classroom and have not checked out Showbie: CHECK IT OUT! Not only can you easily upload documents to make your classroom paperless in an easy/seamless way, but you can add videos to help Flip your class. I just added 7 videos for the 7 steps of my art project and my students can watch them on demand. I can have students move forward at THEIR pace. While Im teaching some students through the videos (yes it is a little weird hearing my voice around the room) I can continue to filter around and help those who are struggling or need the extra encouragement. The videos can be watched and re-watched and paused so my students can follow along if they need to. This is huge for students who struggle with multi-step directions!!! My top favorite things about Showbie: *Class is paperless for all the worksheets/instructions: bye-bye the sprints to the copier as well as the "I know I turned that into to you already" *I can grade so much faster because all my comments can use the microphone on the iPad keyboard and I can talk to type. Students also read my comments more often, something about the power of technology vs. hand written. *Students can submit work without downloading the worksheets and can submit them instantly. Students open the worksheet, use the text box, comment button, or draw directly on the document with the pen tool, hit done and I get their document back. *Slide presentations and VIDEO demos in a folder to help support the lesson- students can go back through the presentation if the missed something or when an absent student comes back they have the presentation available. *Students can submit photos, comments and videos so easily! *Their work can be placed in a portfolio within their account. *Parents can be given full access to view all or part of what you place for their childs account *The Showbie team rocks and are so helpful. GO TRY THE FREE VERSION. I HAVE NO REGRETS IN PURCHASING THE PRO VERSION: WORTH EVERY PENNY

This is the answer for allowing students to show me their work without papers I could misplace. I needed to have a way for students to write over PDFs I created and this is it! Thanks, Showbie developers! Your app is priceless. :-)

Because there is a big push to reduce paper usage in my district, I decided to give Showbie a try. My students and I find it easy to use. I love having all the papers at my fingertips without hauling papers home. It is easy for the kids to receive quick feedback from me. I love using it!

This is the best app for student lessons and management.

Easy to use & convenient

Our school loves showbie! Its easy to use and the students think its cool! No more running to the copy room, waiting for documents to print. No more stacks of paper to carry around and grade. It ornagizes your classrooms and projects, and allows you to grade and give feedback on everything you post and assign. Just give it a try and I bet you never go back to paper again. Unless students need to cut something out

I cant write on my work via iPhone but I can in my iPad class...very inconvenient if the whole purpose is to be paperless. I now have to print out the assignment and turn in it smh

I dont like this app its hard to use and it glitches all the time the pencil is so fat Just awful
